* Show respect for the many cultural, heritage and natural resources in our community
* Bring a positive, forward thinking, visionary voice to council
Let's celebrate our past while building for the future. Let's Move Forward Together.
A married father of two young daughters and long-time resident of Port Dalhousie, I have officially launched a bid for City Council in the upcoming by-election. I am running for Council because I believe in the power of community leadership. Port Dalhousie deserves a councillor that is not only fiscally responsible, but also transparent and accountable with a strong social conscience. It’s important to ensure every tax dollar spent is done wisely, and the voices of the people are heard when decisions are made.
I work for Niagara Emergency Medical Services (EMS) as their Commander of Mobile Integrated Health, leading an amazing team of health care heroes. I'm a graduate of McMaster University and Niagara University with a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) focused on strategic management. I have a passion for public service and a passion for Port Dalhousie.
An active community volunteer and supporter of local charities. I have also served on City Council's Heritage Advisory, Recreation Master Plan, and Sustainability Advisory Committees. Everyone who knows me, knows I am very community minded. I decided to run because I feel I can help make St. Catharines a better place for the present and the future.
I look forward to the campaign, meeting with residents and small business owners, and listening to what they have to say. We face many challenges in our garden city, but together we can find solutions. Affordability is a primary issue I'm already hearing from local residents, with housing and homelessness being at the top of that list. Whether it's young adults just starting out, or seniors on fixed incomes, everyone deserves a place they can call home. The City must also emphasize attracting, retaining and expanding local businesses, as they bring jobs and tax revenue, lessening pressure on the residential tax base.
Another issue important to local residents is public access to the waterfront, and working to ensure City residents have easy access to Lake Ontario and our beautiful beaches. As a councillor, I will work to protect the heritage assets and natural beauty of Port Dalhousie.
Most recently I volunteered to spearhead a group planning to celebrate Port's bi-centennial in 2026, marking when the village development began during construction of the first Welland Canal - the start of Port Dalhousie as it's known today. I have no doubt the future of St. Catharines will be bright, but only by continuing to work together can we make it happen.
